Merino wool is wool with very high qualities and superior properties, which is obtained from a special breed of Merino sheep and is a completely natural product. Most of the world's merino wool currently comes from Australia and New Zealand. Merino wool fibers are much finer than standard wool fibers, which is why Merino sheep are such a valuable breed. In fact, merino fibers are so fine, they are about one-tenth the width of a human hair! This finesse is one of the reasons why merino wool is one of the best materials for clothing.
